About The Course

Course Outline:
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning.
HABC Level 3 Certification
18 hours over a 3 day period, typical course times are 0930-1630.
The course can be delivered at a location to suit the client.
A maximum of 12 learners per trainer are allowed

The role and responsibilities of a first-aider
Being able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
Being able to manage a casualty with external bleeding
Being able to manage a casualty with a minor injury
Being able to conduct a secondary survey
Being able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries
Being able to administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis.
