About The Course

The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards course is designed to provide those working with clients who may be diagnosed as lacking capacity in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Learners will understand and know how to practise the principles of the DOL safeguard to avoid a deprivation of liberty taking place.

Learners must demonstrate a willingness to learn and participate in all group activities, case studies and group discussions.
All learners will receive a certificate of completion
3 Hours, typical course times are 0930-1630.
The course can be delivered at locations to suit the client
A maximum of 15 learners per trainer are allowed
